| Does anyone know of any Texas colleges offering a Master's degree in human resource management? I've tried to find them through google but can only find online colleges. I need an actual brick and mortar institution, preferably in Houston. I did find that Texas A&M offers this degree but I know nothing about the school so if you know anything about it, feel free to include it in your answer. Please don't give any answers saying things like "use search engine this" or use this resource - I need specific names of schools that have this degree available. This is a serious inquiry. Thanks in advance. Lots of smart people in Clear Lake - definitely worth checking out |

What courses do you have to take for a human resource career or degree
What courses do you have to take for a human resource career or degree?
Im in college right now (just started) and im trying to get a degree in business administration but I wanna know about human resource career. For you who went to college for that, what classes did you have to take? Cause with Business administration I have to take up to business calculus and accounting classes. To much math for me actually, idk wat i was thinking.

If your college offers any courses in Human Resources any of those would be great to take. However smaller schools don't always have them. I went to a small college and majored in communication but that is fine for working in HR. Most HR jobs are just looking for you to have a degree in business, management, psychology, communication, or some other general degree. You really should focus on looking for an internship or part time job in HR so you can start getting experience while in college. There are a lot of entry level positions out there but unless you have an HR specific degree they are going to want you to have some experience.

Too many to mention. A friend of mine got hers through night extension courses in Hampton, VA through George Washington U, which is in D.C. Google "human resources master's degree." Then check your yellow pages under "schools" or "universities" to see what extension courses are offered in your area--unless you WANT to move.
